asptest.mdb is saved as an Access97 database asptest_access2000.mdb is saved as and Access 2000 database asptest_access2002.mdb is saved as and Access 2000 database There is really little advantage of using any version over the other I have provided all three in case someone has trouble with one version you can easily try another. ODBC drivers on servers can be picky... many new setups will only run the 2002 version You might as well try to use the newer format if it works ok for you. Also.. the database directory begins with an underscore as it may help to keep some web spiders out of it. If you import a folder with an underscore into a microsoft frontpage web it will not show up unless you turn on. "show hidden files and folders" under (tools/web settings/advanced) the databae dirctory can be named whatever you like as longs as it is given proper permissions (covered in the docs) even an existing database directory with proper permissions will suffice
